Good Morning blogland friends. I thought the sky was falling last night. We had thunderstorms move through our area in the early morning hours and the thunder shook the windows. I wasn't sure what was going on at first, but thought the windows were going to fall out. Made me think this must have been how chicken little must have felt, lol. The storms have passed by, but our yard is a swamp! Water everywhere, the girls didn't want to go through the water, lol, the little princesses! It was bad enough I had to open the garage doors and go around to the grass, by passing the water.
We were able to attend the Nascar race at Talladega. The weather was perfect both days, warm and sunny. Hubby is friends with several people behind the scenes at the races, knowing people from the Fox Crew of the Hollywood Hotel, and MRN racing network. We had a great time, I was able to meet his friends and Ben truly showed us a good time. We hung out with them in their transporters and also toured the transporter of Tony Stewarts car, Tony passed through as we were chceking it out, gave us a nod and a "How ya doing". On Sunday, hubby had to leave to continue with his load on to Florida and I headed back to Tennessee to the kids'.
I have not gotten anything crafty done this past week! I had taken my quilt with me thinking I would get the binding on and work on hand stitching it down, but not. Imagine that. I had other things to do with the kids. Now that I'm back home I'll attack that job. and I'm working slowly on another wool penny mat. Since it is not the kind of day to work outside, I'll work on things inside.
I still haven't gotten the call to go back to work. Hoping that comes soon. Ok, so what have all of you been working on? I have missed reading all your blogs, so will try to catch up today and leave a comment here and there. Be sure to leave me a comment and tell me what you are working on. I love your comments!
Have a Great Day!!

That must have been really exciting going behind the scences at the races. My husband would have loved that.
I did finally work alittle last night on some remakes I'm working on but its been hard for me to stay inside when its nice outside. Calling for rain today and cooler so maybe I'll get something done.
Good luck on your binding and your new penny mat.

Bren, Sauder village - www.saudervillage.org we have lots of parking! Let me know if you ever decide to stop. ~Ann
Glad your home and glad you had a great time. How fun to be behind the scenes. My friend Brenda in MO gave her husband a birthday present of driving a race car at the KC Raceway. He so loved it and it took him a few rounds to get up to the 100 to 150 range. It would freak me out. Mark loved it. They only ride for the first part and listen to the ins and outs then they take the drivers seat. Whew! He did it again this year. It's expensive though.
